The Aconcagua Valley is known for having one of the best Terroir in Chile. This place is ideal for red grapes, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenere.
The heat in this valley is essential for the balance of sugar in grapes and the temperature at night gives it the necessary amount of cold weather that the grapes need in order to develop a good acidity. This means that by having a cold night, the acidity gets lower, and by having a hot weather it means the sugar level rises... harvest on the right day, and you get an excellently balanced wine, not too alcoholic, not too astringent, and not too high in acidity. Being that the Aconcagua Valley is warm climate valley; the wines tend to have a BIG body.
On this tour we will visit two wineries and we’ll have lunch at a rustic, countryside restaurant, which specializes in traditional Chilean Dishes.
