Our Urban Winery & Tasting Room

Caoba Tasting Room

In 2017, we opened up a a space at the famous "Red Door" in Cerro Concepción, Valparaíso, and turned it into our first tasting room. For three years, we welcomed visitors to taste Chilean wines until COVID brought everything to a halt.

We continued offering private wine tastings afterward, but no longer had a permanent space open to the public.

In 2025, we decided it was time to start again.

After extensive renovations and new partnerships, we finally reopened Caoba Tasting Room.

Today, we offer four daily tasting sessions at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM, with three different tasting tiers ranging from entry-level to premium Chilean wines.

We've also started working with different winemakers to develop our own line of wines, which you can explore below.

Bodega Rossaria

Reviving Valparaiso's Wine History

Not many people know that Valparaíso once had its own wine industry. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the city was an important center for Chilean wine merchants, bottlers, and bodegas. In fact, as late as 1978–1979, nine registered wine-bottling houses were still operating in Valparaíso.

Much like Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal, wine from the country's producing regions made its way to the port, where local businesses handled, bottled, and traded it.

Over time, this tradition gradually disappeared. Many businesses closed, while others moved their operations closer to wine country. As visiting vineyards and wineries became more popular, the idea of having wine bodegas in the city slowly faded away.

Bodega Rossaria is our attempt to bring a little of that history back.

Working alongside Chilean winemakers, we've started developing our own collection of wines, currently featuring a Chardonnay named Rivel, a red blend named Amparo, and a Tempranillo named Josal. We're also developing three additional labels, including two limited releases and a rosé that will become part of our permanent collection.

Our production is intentionally small, and our wines are available exclusively through our bodega. For now, we're not interested in selling through shops or retail distribution. We'd rather share our wines directly with the people who come to visit us.

As Bodega Rossaria continues to develop, our tasting room is already welcoming visitors. Here, you can enjoy our wines on their own or paired with food, alongside a selection of wines from other Chilean producers for a more complete tasting experience.
